In 2023, Kyle Jamieson will be covering the ICC Cricket World Cup for New Zealand. Await the scan results for Matt Henry

In its ICC Cricket World Cup roster, New Zealand has chosen to bring in all-rounder Kyle Jamieson to replace bowler Matt Henry. Jamieson will arrive in Bengaluru late on Thursday ahead of the team’s Saturday match against Pakistan at the M Chinnswammy Stadium.

Before, Jamieson was a member of the team as Tim Southee’s backup while he healed from an injury. Nevertheless, Southee made a comeback and played on Wednesday against South Africa. Jamieson was returned to the Plunkett Shield to play.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-263682″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-check-gmp-today-allotment-date-for-cello-world-ipo-download-2023-11-02t175624.379.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com check gmp today allotment date for cello world ipo download 2023 11 02t175624.379″ width=”1271″ height=”712″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-check-gmp-today-allotment-date-for-cello-world-ipo-download-2023-11-02t175624.379.jpg 300w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-check-gmp-today-allotment-date-for-cello-world-ipo-download-2023-11-02t175624.379-150×84.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1271px) 100vw, 1271px” title=”In 2023, Kyle Jamieson will be covering the ICC Cricket World Cup for New Zealand.
Henry was unable to complete his allotted number of overs due to a hamstring injury he sustained during Wednesday’s South Africa match. Lockie Ferguson’s Achilles injury earlier in the game kept him out of the contest. In light of the injuries sustained by Henry during camp and the scan findings that NZ is expecting, coach Gary Stead said that bringing in cover was the only course of action.

“We couldn’t risk having a bowler out for Saturday due to the severity of Matt’s injury and the short turnaround to Pakistan,” Stead said. Jamieson was ready to go back to India, according to Stead.

“Kyle is in route right now, and we’re excited to have him rejoin the group. He’ll probably work out with us on Friday in order to be ready for the game on Saturday.

“We’re confident Kyle will be able to hit the ground running because he was able to train with us for two full weeks earlier in the tournament and has since participated in a Plunket Shield match,” Stead said.

Jimmy Neesham suffered a knock to his wrist during his follow-through in the SA game, which further exacerbates their injury difficulties and limits his ability to bat at No. 9. The good news from the camp is that Ferguson will probably be ready for Saturday’s match against Pakistan. The fast bowler suffered an Achilles injury in the Dharamsala match against Australia.

A spate of injuries has dogged New Zealand’s campaign; captain Kane Williamson is out with a fracture, Mark Chapman is out with a calf ailment, and Henry is now out with a hamstring issue. With Ish Sodhi replacing Henry for the match, New Zealand only had 11 fit players for the SA match.
