<p>Prior to Saturday’s World Cup group stage match between India and Pakistan, Ahmedabad has been overcome by a cricket fever, and a trip to the hospitals nearby in the western Indian city amply demonstrates the level of enthusiasm.</p>

<p>The Ahmedabad Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association has advised against allowing such fans inside its facilities.</p>
<p>“We have requested that our members refuse such solicitations. Hospitals are not intended for those who are not patients, according to its president, Bharat Gadhavi.</p>
<p>Both India and Pakistan entered the match with victories in their first two tournament games.</p>

<p>Reselling tickets may bring in up to 25 times their face value, and on Tuesday, municipal police detained four young people for selling bogus tickets. In addition to all of this, Indian Railways will operate two ultra-fast trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, and airfare has increased up to four times.</p>
<p>In ODI World Cups, India has a perfect 7-0 record against Pakistan, and despite the rivalry’s Orwellian assumption of serious sport—”war without the shooting”—players from both teams have positive relationships.</p>

<p>For Indian Liyakat Khan, whose daughter Samiya gets wed to Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali, it would be a momentous event.</p>
<p>“In 2021, when my daughter was due with her first kid, my wife traveled to Pakistan. We’ll cross paths again. I’m really excited to hold my grandson, Khan reportedly told the journalists.</p>
